When you visit Smathers Beach, you have to walk up some stairs to the sidewalk. As I took my first step, I saw the pelican and seagull flying overhead and was able to capture exactly what I saw.

Smathers Beach is the largest public beach in Key West, Florida, United States. It is approximately a half-mile long. The beach is located on the south side of the island, along the Atlantic Ocean and State Road A1A, and begins at mile marker zero, the beginning of A1A.

All Giclee prints start out as photographs that I shoot. From there, I edit the photographs digitally, handcrafting the swirly whimsical styles by hand, using a pressure sensitive stylist. After the piece is completed, I print and hand make the frame the canvas is stretched over.

After studying under a master-craftsman, I purchased all of the printing and stretching equipment, to make all of my art by hand here in Key West.
