The Rose Island Light, built in 1870, is on Rose Island in Narragansett Bay in Newport, Rhode Island in the United States. It is preserved, maintained and operated by The Rose Island Lighthouse Foundation.

A lifelong New Englander, Marcus Hanscom is a hobby photographer who enjoys capturing the beauty of the shoreline. He resides in Rhode Island and is passionate about the sea and protecting it through organizations like Save the Bay, a nonprofit focused on Narragansett Bay. By day, Marcus is a digital marketing consultant specializing in higher education, drawing from an extensive 17-year background working for universities in enrollment management. When not behind the camera, you’ll find him on his stand-up paddleboard, traveling, or catching live concerts throughout the U.S.

All Giclee prints start out as photographs that I shoot. From there, I edit the photographs digitally, handcrafting the swirly whimsical styles by hand, using a pressure sensitive stylist. After the piece is completed, I print and hand make the frame the canvas is stretched over.

After studying under a master-craftsman, I purchased all of the printing and stretching equipment, to make all of my art by hand here in Key West.

Because everything is handmade in Key West, we pack up everything securely and process orders within the week.

You will be notified by UPS with all tracking information once everything is shipped out.
